Frameworks for Focus & Prioritization
As an entrepreneur, knowing where to focus your energy is very challenging. In this article we'll discuss various framework that will undoubtedly bring clarity to your life.
Framework 1: Warren Buffet's '2 List Strategy' for prioritizing.
Get out a pen and paper & write down everything you want to accomplish in your career/business/entrepreneurial journey. If you prefer you can also use this exercise for shorter time durations, for instance, everything you want to accomplish this week or year. Write down EVERYTHING. Once you've done this, begin by circling the top 5 most important entries. Focus on these 5 only & avoid the others at all cost.

Framework 2: Sunlight Vs Laser
For a moment I want you to consider 2 sources of energy: the sun & a laser. The sun provides billions of kilowatts of energy every hour & is 27,000,000 Fahrenheit at it's core. Yet, in most case you will only get midly burnt if you are exposed to the sun for too long of a duration.
On the other hand, I want you to consider a laser. It's exponentially less powerful than the sun, but concentrates all of its energy in 1 singular direction & can burn a hole through the strongest elements on the periodic table.
Framework 3: Prioritizing what matters

Creating a simple matrix can help your decide where you spend your current efforts & where to delegate. This was inspired by Farnam Street blog.
Framework 4: Meditation
In a world where we're constantly inundated by notification, emails, texts & phone calls...peace and quiet is a rarity. Get in the practice of spending quiet time alone. You don't need to sit crosslegged singing mantas, meditation comes in many forms such as walks in nature, surfing, or simply laying in silence with your eyes closed. You will be amazed at how impactful this will be in bringing clarity to your life. I find it to be the single most impactful habit I try to do on a daily basis.
Conclusion:
You can use these various frameworks where you best see fit, just remember attention flows where energy goes. If you focus on bad things, they expand. If you focus on growth, you will grow.
